Engineering geology investigation

Engineering geology and hydrogeological investigation provides a summary of the geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical conditions of areas where construction work is under preparation (buildings, linear and underground structures).

Investigation work with respect to the project preparedness stage includes :

  • Indicative investigation - basis for elaboration of documentation for land use decisions
  • Detailed investigation - basis for elaboration of documentation for building permit
  • Supplementary investigation – refining the results of previous stages, and responding to any changes in the project.

AQUATEST a.s. provides potential investors with investigation work in the field of engineering geology, geotechnical engineering and hydrogeology across a wide range of fields, in particular:

· Elaboration of studies for planning documentation

· Comprehensive geological survey for all types of buildings, including field and laboratory tests (e.g. static penetration and dynamic sounding, static load testing, hydrodynamic testing to determine the hydraulic parameters of the geological environment, determining the strength, deformation and technological properties of rocks, specification of classes of excavation, determination of water chemistry for construction - aggressiveness to concrete, steel, etc.)

· Provision of geological and geotechnical supervision of construction works (e.g., acceptance of foundation base, excavation stability)

· Engineering geology mapping and composition of maps and databases

· Consulting and advisory services

· Expertise in the field of engineering geology and hydrogeology
